Students from the BA Music Composition for Media course were able to show their work to various industry representatives including local Brighton computer game companies. New Production Studio

Production StudioWe would like to introduce our new and improved 'Sound Design, Mix and Editing Suite'.

We have recently installed a new Moog Voyager; the legendary British made analogue synthesizer with digital interface, a Neve 8801 channel strip; combined eq, pre-amp and compressor designed to deliver top quality performance in any situation, and two Empirical Labs Distressors; a classic knee compressor offering a warm and vintage sound.

The suite is based around both PC and Mac systems running Cubase and Pro Tools, to allow greater flexibility for students. The Suite also contains both Genelec 8050A and PMC TB-1 monitoring speakers to give a contrasting sound, and a number of Auralex 'Low End Noise Reduction' bass traps, to produce an accurate mixing environment.

RackWe have also recently upgraded our 8 Dance Music Booths to now include some of the most cutting edge sampling and sound design software, including the infamous 'Native instruments Komplete package'; a collection of 12 software packages ranging from drum machines synthesizers, vocoders and virtual pianos. Each booth also contains the 'Nord Modular G2' synthesizer and 'Powercore' system to give each computer more DSP power when working with audio and MIDI tracks.
