Foundation Degree Music Performance

The Course
This course is intended for advanced performers and places considerable emphasis on the development of creativity and performance in professional venues to a very high standard. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a high level of competence, creativity and musicianship on a minimum of two instruments (or one instrument and voice). The programme also incorporates the study of arranging, studio and production techniques and offers opportunities to perform and record in a variety of contexts, including theatres, festivals and broadcast.

Progression to BAHons
Northbrook College Sussex are pleased to be in a position to offer students a comprehensive, rigorous and well supported Foundation Degree.  The modular design of the course means that the accreditation you earn here can be used to progress to a year-long BAHons Top-Up qualification at any academic institution that offers it.

However, providing you have had a successful academic outcome and meet the interview criteria you can, if you wish to, continue your studies here at Northbrook! Our very well subscribed and popular BAHons Top-Up courses are designed with this progression in mind and so integrate seamlessly with the Foundation Degree.

We also welcome students from other institutions that offer the modular Foundation Degree who want to take advantage of the outstanding resources and excellent training our BAHons teaching team provide.

Entry Requirements
All students deemed suitable based on the following criteria are invited for interview. A relevant National Diploma or A levels with an overall Merit Profile. A good reference or College Report or Record of Achievement. A portfolio of work demonstrating a range of relevant prior achievement.
