Student Producer in the ChartsA Northbrook Music student is enjoying success as a music producer with his production project making it into the Top 30 in the iTunes R'n'B chart and getting radio play. Tom Stephens,28, who graduated last year from the BA Music Production course, produced an album for Baby Charles, a sensational deep Funk band, as his final year project. The album was then released by label Record Kicks and they have since had sessions on BBC radio shows, including Craig Charles, Mark Lamarr and Giles Peterson as well as one of the tracks being played on Football Focus on BBC 1. Tom originally produced a three track demo for them in the second year of his degree, which he recorded at Northbrook and then mixed in New York. The band were so impressed that they agreed to do an album with him for his final project. The tracks recorded for that album then formed the album that was released.
