Foundation Degree Music Production
The Foundation Degree in Music Production has been created in response to both industry and government demand for an undergraduate course dedicated to developing marketable skills. You will undertake a series of assessments designed to reflect the current practices in music production along with associated supporting subjects.The course is led by a lecturing team, many of whom continue to work professionally at the highest levels of the music industry. Throughout your studies you will be taking advantage of our extremely well resourced recording studio complex, which includes 30 soundproofed studios along with sampling, synthesis, acoustics and keyboard laboratories. The studios are supported by dedicated music computer areas that contain all the major software platforms: Pro Tools HD, Logic Pro 8, Cubase 4, as well as other industry and research standard software packages such as Kontakt, Reaktor and MAX/MSP. The course will be particularly suitable for applicants who can demonstrate professional experience within the music industry and/or a good grounding in digital audio, MIDI and studio production techniques Course Content
